Jae-Hyun Jung, PhD

I am a Senior Research Scientist in Human Performance and Experience (HPX) at NVIDIA Research.

My research spans nature-inspired machine learning, human vision, perception and action, AR/VR, display and imaging technologies, and vision rehabilitation. My current work also explores human-inspired artificial intelligence, drawing on human perception and cognition to advance spatial intelligence.

Previously, I was an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant Scientist at Mass Eye and Ear. I received my PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Seoul National University and am a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
